October 19 - 24 PGA Qualifying School see below for details

We are extremely proud to be hosting the PGA Qualifying School this year! The PGA is very selective when choosing golf courses to hold their events and we are honored to have not only been considered, but chosen to host Q-school for the third year in a row! Due to the great conditions and championship layout of our course, we are one of eleven golf courses in the United States to have been chosen to host a qualifier!
Practice rounds are October 18th with actual competition beginning at 12:00 noon on Monday, October 19th. The course will close at that time to member play and remain closed through Saturday, October 24th. Sunday, October 25th is the scheduled contingency date in case of bad weather that week. You may call and schedule tee times to play our course on Sunday, the 18th and Monday morning, the 19th. We will also be glad to make arrangements for you to play at another club in the area while the course is closed to members.
Volunteers are needed!!! We would greatly appreciate anyone who is available signing up to be a spotter or drive a shuttle that week. Call the Pro Shop if you can help out. 334-821-8381 Ext. 1
We would like to thank the Men's Golf Association for the ball washers on the driving range and the clock on the putting green! If you haven't joined the MGA and would like to do so, the dues are only $50/year and as you can see, have already gone towards the betterment of the Club. Applications can be picked up in the Pro Shop or you may email me at elizabeth@aucyf.com and I will reply with an application. Thanks again!!

We are looking to have the Ladies' Club Championship sometime in December. I will let you know as soon as an exact date has been decided. All ladies of AUC are encouraged to play keeping in mind that it will be flighted. As soon as we have a date, we will also have sign up information.

Congratulations to this year's Club Champion, Bob Dumas, and the Senior Champion, Reggie Gilbert. Shooting the exact same score on both days, they shot an impressive 74 on Saturday and sealed their wins by scoring 72 on Sunday!
Bill Kratzert is among the newest members of the Auburn University Club family!! He and his wife currently reside in Ponte Vedra, FL and his son is a student at Auburn University. As most of you know, Bill is a former PGA tour player and champion and is currently a commentator for PGA tour events on TNT and other major networks.
This football season is a highly anticipated one for obvious reasons. With a brand new coaching staff, a new quarterback, and an old quarterback playing wide receiver, many fans find themselves filled with excitement while others are full of skepticism. I think it's safe to say that no matter the attitude, we are all more than anything curious to see how these changes are going to play out on the field.
Whatever reason brings you to Auburn on Saturdays this fall, know that one thing remains the same - a round of golf at the Auburn University Club and an intimate, no-fuss place to dine with family and friends! We look forward to seeing you this fall!!
Keep in mind when making your game day plans:
-In case you get to town extra early, we will be serving a Southern style dinner buffet every Thursday before home games. Reservations are recommended.(We will not be serving a burffet, Thursday, September 3rd).

From the Administrative Office
For the first time since its inception in 1999, Auburn University Club dues will increase for certain membership categories. IMPORTANT - DUES WILL REMAIN THE SAME FOR ALL CURRENT MEMBERS IN GOOD STANDING (accounts current). The dues increase is as follows:

Local Full Membership: $155/month
Junior Membership: $125/month
Region 1: $100/month
National Membership $420/year (billed semiannually)

This dues increase will go into effect on April 15, 2009.

At his time we have no plans for increasing the dues for any current member in good standing as long as his/her membership remains in good standing and there is no lapse in membership. We do not anticipate an increase in current member dues for at least 12 to 18 months or until a specific membership category reaches the maximum membership level, whichever occurs first.

In spite of the current difficult economic times, we are making every effort to continue serving our members in a way that promotes enjoyment of all of our facilities for members and their families. Communication is the key to great service so help us serve you in the best way possible. Call ahead for tee times, let us know if you plan on bringing a large group to eat, and check with us when the weather is questionable. By hearing from you, we can better plan on staffing needs and also help you avoid showing up when the course is closed.
To avoid a dues increase, please bring your account current if you are delinquent or call Elizabeth Shannon at 334-821-8381 Ext. 102 to set up a payment plan.

We appreciate all of our members and hope to see you all at the club this spring!
Happy Birthday to you...!!
